CARRIER ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Job Summary: As a Carrier Account Executive you will be responsible for how consumer goods, products, and food travel around the world on a daily basis. The Carrier Account Executive will focus on developing, maintaining, and growing relationships between numerous carriers and BMM Transportation/Logistics. This fast paced, high-energy role will allow you to make an impact on the nation supply chain every day.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to establish lasting relationships with carrier accounts to build and maintain a strong book of business
• Book available loads based on customer commitments and load requirements
• Arrange for pick-up and delivery of loads
• Manage daily shipments and make sure they pick up and deliver 24/7/365
• Heavy phone call interaction with industry professionals
• Conduct calls with carriers to determine carrier availability and negotiate transportation rates
• Managing time effectively to achieve daily and monthly goals
• Negotiating rates to achieve commission goals
• Resolve any issues that may arise in load delivery

• Prior experience in inside or outside sales is beneficial, but not necessary
• Knowledge of various Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel and Word

Job Summary: As a Customer Account Executive you will be responsible for informing and educating potential customers on the innovative ways BMM Transportation/Logistics delivers supply chain and logistics solutions. As part of the Customer Account Executive you will prospect, engage, and close new accounts in cohesion with our transportation/logistics experts.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to establish lasting relationships with customers to build and maintain a strong book of business
• Prospect for new customers with an ambitious mentality via internet, phone, referrals, and networking
• Heavy phone call interaction with industry professionals
• Initiate contact with potentials customers at any and all levels
• Managing time effectively to achieve daily and monthly goals
• Negotiating rates to achieve commission goals

• Daily correspondence with drivers and carrier companies to ensure timely delivery of freight
• Communication with sales teams to deliver status updates on freight
• Frequently updating database to reflect current locations of trucks
• Dictating directions to drivers through verbal and written communication
• Other duties as needed
